The ACLU of South Dakota proudly partners with organizations statewide to fight for abortion rights across the state.
Here are just a few who work around the clock to ensure every South Dakotan’s reproductive rights are protected.
Justice Empowerment Network (JEN)
The Justice Empowerment Network (JEN) helps South Dakota patients, not just with funding for their abortion, but also with costs associated with transportation, childcare, lodging, interpreters, medications, food, birth control, and the morning-after pill. If a patient is unable to access care in South Dakota, JEN will help them get to another state.
Planned Parenthood is one of the nation’s leading providers of high-quality, affordable health care, and the nation’s largest provider of sex education. With or without insurance, you can always come to us for your health care.
Leaders Engaged And Determined (LEAD) South Dakota
LEAD South Dakota fights for women and families by mobilizing grassroots political action and training and equipping leaders.
National Organization for Women (South Dakota Chapter)
The South Dakota chapter of the National Organization for Women seeks to advocate for and empower the women of South Dakota. We recognize and validate all experiences of womanhood, and that there are as many ways to be a woman as there are women. The six core issues of NOW are as follows:
- Reproductive Rights
- Economic Justice
- Ending Violence Against Women
- Racial Justice
- LGBTQ+ Rights
- Constitutional Equality for Women
