Local politics leaving you a little concerned? Let’s write about it.
Social media, email inboxes, and pretty much all other online forms of communications are a bit cluttered nowadays. Wouldn’t you agree?
That’s why we’re kickin’ it old school with a January letter writing party and sending some snail mail to our elected officials to lay out our comments, concerns, and questions regarding LGBTQ+ & Two Spirit legislation for 2020 and beyond. Everyone is welcome to attend to gain a better understanding of how to contact elected leaders at all levels of government and highly encouraged to participate by penning a letter and dropping it in the mail.
Why send letters now?
South Dakota legislators gavel in on Jan. 14. Let's get our messages to them ahead of their trip to the capitol!
*Stamps, pens, paper, postcards, and envelopes will be provided for attendees. Just bring your laptop if you would like to type out your letter, we can print it off for you and mail it in. We will have sample letters you can use as a launch point, but highly encourage you to edit and design a letter that reflects you and your concerns.
Can’t attend? Sign up for our emails and get alerted for the next event.
